Welcome to the website of the Fresno Bonsai Society.

The purpose of the Fresno Bonsai Society is to expand the knowledge and skills of Bonsai within its members while offering opportunities for appreciation of this art form to the broader community. We do this through the inspiration of the beauty of the natural world and the rich cultural heritage of Bonsai.

The next general meeting of the FBS will Saturday, November 11th, at 9 AM, at the Clark Bonsai Collection in Shinzen Garden. The activity will be “Bring Your Own Tree Critique with Al Keppler”. Everyone is encouraged to bring a bonsai for discussion and advice. This is always fun and in good humor. Everyone, members or not, are welcome to attend. Bring a tree to work on also.

Please note that the Bonsai Basics Class has been moved to November 28th (not the 21st) and will again be at Dave Soho’s home in Clovis. Everyone is welcome.”

Do you have a bonsai that is not thriving or simply a question about bonsai. For help, contact us by clicking on the Our Club menu to the left.

Ever wonder what you should be doing for your Bonsai on any given month of the year?  Well that is why we have an Almanac on our web site.  It explains month to month when you should:  re-pot, wire, prune, etc.

Our club meets the second Saturday of each month from September through June.  The meeting places may vary according to seasons and activities each month, check the newsletter for details.

We are very fortunate to hold our meetings in the beautiful Shinzen Japanese Garden.  We cordially invite you to visit us at our next meeting and look forward to seeing you.

Our website contains a wealth of information about our club, bonsai related articles, plus a wealth of information on the care of bonsai.  If you don't find the answer to your question you can contact someone personally by going to the Contact Us page and send us an e-mail and one of our experienced members will respond.
